ANGELO MAURER

Angelo is a passionate community leader and climate justice advocate who believes in the power of community and relationality as our saving grace. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & International Relations from The University of British Columbia, and has more than 3 years of experience in the realm of social-ecological justice and advocacy, educational programming, and community engagement. In hopes of alternative futures, Angelo has enjoyed acting as a public speaker, researcher, storyteller, advocate, and facilitator. Angelo joined SUTE in the summer of 2023, and he is currently the Director of Campaigns & Partnerships at Shake Up The Establishment. He works with the Shake Up Your Community program where he has been involved in collaborating with the BC-based Sue Big Oil and BC Climate Emergency campaigns. They also work to respond to and organize around community-identified needs related to climate justice.
